Always Trending: Tropical Print
If you're anything like me, you LOVE a good tropical print. It is the epitome of summer. Colors, fun patterns of florals, leafs, melons, citrus fruits and even berries. But what if bright, bold patterns are not your style? There are so many ways to incorporate tropical patterns into your everyday style that can be subtle. I'll also show you ways to bring summer into the home without the heat!
Now, I know this is a broad term, so I'll dive into some of my favorite items I personally own, or some that I'm currently adding to my cart ;)
Headbands - Byrd
These headbands are handmade in the US, and offered in an assortment of fun prints. Twist the ends, wear it like a turban, with a rosette, around a ponytail, bend and wear it anyway you'd like. It comfortably molds to fit your head and stays in place without squeezing and no headaches! Don’t want to wear it as a headband? Byrd Bands can be shaped into a bracelet, choker or ascot. Cost- $12
Slides - Revolve
Are these not the cutest slides?? They are slip ons, and come in pink or navy. Watermelon and pineapple prints. The top knot detail adds a feminine touch. Bonus! They're on sale for $67
Bags - 38th & Co.
Handmade tropical inspired bags made in the US. Vegan and faux leather. There is a variety to choose from; a wristlet, clutch, coin purse, water resistant or even use them as makeup bags. The contrast of the tropical prints and the faux leather gives these bags unique touches. Several prints to choose from and costs run from $10-$32
I will wear these pants day and night, by the pool with a swim top, sunnies and hat, around town with the girls, throw on a denim jacket, keep the sunnies and hat. These are so much fun! Another bonus! Only $17
Matching Sets - Magnolia Palm
I obviously love this set. Designed and made in Dallas, TX by Dallas based designer Askari. These pieces have remained in my top favs since I laid eyes on them. The print is gorgeous and the shorts are elastic waist! They fit loose in the thigh and have a skirt look.
Dress - Lulu's
Here's a great shift dress to wear during the warmer days without feeling like you are splashed in color. I have friends who prefer black and white over anything else. This can be worn to work, and straight to drinks or dinner. Shopping on the weekends, and exploring a downtown with some great white tennis shoes. Cost $71
Dress - Pretty Little Things
Another alternative to wearing bright colors but still wanting to wear tropical prints during the summer. These soft pastel colors in a chiffon fabric make this a softer take. The ruffle details add more feminine touches to this perfect dress.
This is one of all time favorite ways to enjoy the benefits of sunny weather, warm days, beautiful flowers, and the sunshine. Plants are a beautiful way to add tropical vibes. I personally have over 100 plants in my home. They purify the air, they're relaxing as well as add beauty and are incredibly aesthetically pleasing. It's a hobby of mine to plant flowers, find new plants and pots to add to my home decor. My go-to shops for plants are always Home Depot, Lowes, Paulino Gardens, Logees, and local florist
