I am just 3 days post of being 1 month in to my first business venture. I'm just 31 days shy from celebrating Lincoln's 2nd Birthday!!
Could life be any better?
My vision, goals and dreams have become a reality with Magnolia Palm and I have HUGE goals for my company and myself as an influencer this year.
The balancing act of keeping "duder" (Lincoln's nickname) happy, outside, learning and entertained along with starting a boutique, growing a community of women and influencers to learn with, blogging, and being a wife... You get the picture. It's not easy. Everyday, however I feel joy; not all day everyday. I see my son first thing in the morning, drop to my knees to get a good morning hug and kiss. It's my way of starting the day on a positive note. I plan playdates with friends, lunches and activities for Lincoln all week. I focus on work, cleaning and anything else during his nap time. My house stays clean while we sleep. I pick up before bed and it's back to his playroom in less than 5 minutes in the morning. Our cat gets to enjoy our clean house during the night. I gave up fighting and stressing to do everything. I read an amazing article by Natalie Ellis of BOSSBABE and a piece stayed with me. "You don't have to do everything, you just need to do the right things and do them well." I can't tell you what a load off that was! Here I was fighting to keep a house clean, run a business, stay close with friends, always be ready for anything and I was feeling whoa! I'm sure most of us feel like we are held to a higher standard and must accomplish everything in one day. If she can do it all, and still look absolutely stunning, why can't I? And why do I feel so run down, tired and like I'm so behind? I was doing waaaayyyy too much. I set a day to accomplish certain tasks and my life has improved and I no longer reside in crazy town. If you feel this way please leave a comment and tell me how you plan to add balance to your life. You may not be a mom, wife, business owner but you still have multiple things on your plate at any given time. How can you chose what can be taken off and accomplished at a later time?
With kindness & love, Kenzie
